What are Track Rails?

Track rails are the tracks where you can hang the track lights. For this reason, these tracks are also referred to as light tracks. Since all track lights are attached to one track, only a single power point is needed for all the lights on that track. Each track light has a connector, allowing you to easily click the lights into the track. You can also easily rotate and move the track lights along the track, so you can position the lighting exactly where you want it.

Various 1-phase track accessories are also available. With these, you can create not only straight lines but also crosses and corners. This creates a convenient network of tracks on the ceiling, allowing you to adjust the lighting easily whenever needed.

What is 1-Phase Track Lighting?

There are two types of track lighting: 1-phase and 3-phase track lighting. With 3-phase track lighting, you essentially have 3 groups to which lights can be connected. These can later be controlled with separate switches or dimmers.

In 1-phase track systems, you have only one group and can use only one switch per track. This means all lights turn on or off simultaneously or dim together. This system is generally more affordable to produce as it requires fewer materials, and 1-phase tracks are also flatter than 3-phase tracks.
