What is 1-Phase Track Lighting?
There are two types of track lighting: 1-phase and 3-phase track lighting. With 3-phase track lighting, you essentially have 3 groups to which lights can be connected, allowing control through separate switches or dimmers.
In 1-phase track systems, you have only one group and can use only one switch per track. This means all track lights turn on or off simultaneously or dim together. This system is generally more affordable to produce due to requiring fewer materials, and 1-phase tracks are also flatter than 3-phase tracks.
